The “Armavir” Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia informs that the officers of the Department of Security and Escorts, while performing a joint service with the officers of the Department of Security, noticed an unmanned aerial vehicle in the air space of the institution.

The device was also spotted through the institution’s video surveillance system.

A package containing 3 mobile phones was attached to the discovered drone.

Appropriate measures have been taken regarding the incident.
