PAP spokesperson Iveta Tonoyan denied the information that the construction of the statue of Jesus Christ, which was being built with the initiative and funds of Gagik Tsarukyan, was stopped, NEWS.am reports. 

“The construction works of the statue of Jesus Christ continue as normal and have not been suspended,” said Iveta Tonoyan.

Earlier, it was reported that the construction has stopped for about a week, because the company “Multi Stone”, which supplies the travertine used for the construction of the statue, is not operating due to the restrictions imposed by the investigative body.
