Yerevan Criminal Court found lawyer Alexander Kochubaev guilty of publishing information insulting the honor and dignity of representatives of judicial and investigative authorities.

Judge Garik Abelyan read such a verdict. The court will announce the punishment for the lawyer later.

It should be reminded that on October 16, Kochubaev was harshly detained by NSS officers from near the court building, after the hearing in the case of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan and his supporters. A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 490 of the RA Criminal Code. The reason for criminal prosecution was the sharp social media post of the lawyer directed to the investigators, prosecutors and judges who arrested the leader of the diocese of Aragatsotn of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the diplomat of the same diocese.
