The Municipality of Yerevan informs that the cruel treatment of animals is a criminal offense under Article 307 of the RA Criminal Code.

“The law prohibits:

– use methods harmful to the health or welfare of animals,

– involve animals in such exhibitions, sports or entertainment events, during which they may be subjected to torture, injury or appear in a life-threatening situation.

The relevant services of the Yerevan Municipality carry out constant control in public areas in order to prevent illegal demonstrations with the participation of animals and exclude any manifestation of cruelty to animals.”
