A new family insecurity assessment system will be in effect in Armenia from July 1

From July 1, a number of important programs and legislative changes will come into force, which will have an impact on both citizens and business activities.


1. The new long-term housing rental program will be implemented for displaced families from Karabakh.


2. The new “Stop” tool will be launched in the financial and banking system.


3. Based on the complex assessment of incomes, a new system for assessing the insecurity of families will be introduced.


4. According to the amendments made to the RA Tax Code, in case of unpaid tax obligations, a reminder will be sent first, then collection and seizure measures will be applied.


5. The procedure for applying for care services for elderly or disabled persons is changing.


6. For some goods imported from third countries and processed under the customs procedure “exemption for domestic consumption”, it is necessary to submit a conformity assessment document to the customs authorities.


7. Amendments to the “Consumer Rights Protection” law establish a mandatory 2-year warranty for defective products and prohibit misleading consumer advertising.
