“Pashinyan will try to achieve the goal of forming a majority or a different law

In Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan announces peace with Azerbaijan, and in Azerbaijan they officially organize an event called “Western Azerbaijan” and during the event, Azerbaijanis declare that they want to “return to their historical lands”, referring to the Republic of Armenia.

How will there be peace under these conditions, especially when after the national elections held in Armenia on June 7, the political force led by Nikol Pashinyan will not have enough votes in the parliament to change the Constitution?

Negotiation specialist, conflict analyst, senior consultant of CM Partners company, Boston-based Artur Martirosyan in other words, if there is no change that Aliyev demands, it is unlikely that Aliyev will sign the “Peace Treaty” with Nikol Pashinyan.

“That change is possible if either a constitutional majority is formed in the National Assembly or a referendum is held. The referendum is out of the question, the parliament remains, so Nikol Pashinyan and CP will try to achieve their goal by any means: to form a majority or to try to pass various laws that will allow them to pass the changes that Aliyev needs. There are no other options, I don’t see it myself.” 168.amArtur Martirosyan said in a conversation with

As for the June 7 national elections in Armenia, Artur Martirosyan said that it is clear that those elections were held with many violations. First of all, administrative resources and repressions were put into action before and after the elections. Therefore, these elections cannot be considered free and fair.

“There will be no external pressure to organize new elections. When Pashinyan declares that there was a bribe from the opposition, even if we assume that it is all true, there is no evidence, it means that it is not true. We have not seen any court ruling, on what basis does he make such a statement?

The logic is as follows: the elections must be annulled, violations of laws by the CP have no limits. This is a dictatorship, still a mild one, but it is a dictatorship, why, because if recordings were made, they must be made on the basis of special permits, and that too by the court. No force can take such a step,” Artur Martirosyan added.

According to him, even if such a recording is made, it cannot be made public, moreover, if these recordings were made public before the court session, they cannot be submitted to the court in general.

“Starting with the public leaders that these materials show, and ending with all those who violate the law, will they eventually have to answer for all of that one day? If not, then we will continue to live in an area that will never be formed as a national state,” emphasized Artur Martirosyan.
