From June 3, “Rosselkhoznadzor” imposes temporary restrictions on Indian fruits, eggplants, potatoes and dried fruits imported from Armenia and of Armenian origin, as well as on the transit of these products to EAEU countries.
The department explained that these measures are related to the lack of mechanisms that confirm the entry of products subject to quarantine control in exporting countries.
Restrictions will be in place until an appropriate algorithm is developed to ensure supply control and security.
“Rosselkhoznadzor” also announced that, in their opinion, the situation points to the problems in the control system of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and the insufficient efficiency of regulation in the field of agricultural production.
