Armenian President calls for creativity and proactiveness to drive public sect

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has emphasized that the success of countries depends largely on their ability to adapt swiftly and effectively to change and to embrace new approaches. He made these remarks in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Public Sector Innovation Forum III, organized by UNDP Armenia through its SDG Innovation Lab.

“In the modern world, the success of states largely depends on their ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change and to adopt new approaches. For this reason, it is necessary to encourage creativity and proactiveness within the public administration system. Innovation in government means not only applying new technologies but also changing the way of thinking. It involves fostering a more open culture of governance, promoting cooperation between different institutions, and providing solutions that are more responsive to citizens’ needs. In recent years, Armenia has been steadily moving in this direction by implementing significant and comprehensive reforms in public administration. The aim of these changes is to make the state governance system more efficient, transparent, and accountable, aligning it with democratic norms and modern technological developments,” he said.

According to the President of Armenia, civil servants play a particularly important role on this path — officials whose daily work produces results, proposes new solutions, and contributes to the development of a more effective state system.
