Armenian director Jivan Avetisyan's "Gate to Heaven" was successfully screened at the Armenian Film Festival Australia in Melbourne and Sydney.

New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejikian was also present at the opening ceremony of the festival, the Facebook page of the movie said.

“45 Days: The Fight for a Nation”, a documentary by British journalist and filmmaker Emile Ghessen telling about the war in Artsakh in the fall of 2020, was also screened at the festival.

"It is encouraging and inspiring that films telling about Artsakh continue journeys in various cities around the world," the post reads.

Jivan Avetisyan's next film, "Reborn", also centers around Artsakh.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
