Torosyan: Schoolchildren diagnosed with COVID-19 feel good

Arminfo, Armenia

ArmInfo.School-aged children who have been diagnosed with coronavirus feel well and have no symptoms. RA Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan announced this at a March 26 press conference, without specifying the exact number of  Schoolchildren patients with COVID- 19 .

The Minister drew attention to the fact that today there is not a  single publication or scientific work on a global scale that would  speak about the severe course of coronavirus in children. A similar  picture is observed in Armenia. Meanwhile, Torosyan noted that  children with reduced immunity are more susceptible to infections,  including coronavirus. In this regard, according to him, this group  of children, especially those whose immunity is reduced due to  chemotherapy, should be given special attention. In addition, we  should not forget that children, like adults, can also become sources  of the spread of infection.

In this regard, Torosyan once again urged everyone to follow the  rules of personal hygiene and the recommendations of the Ministry of  Healthcare, as well as limit their circle of contacts for an  indefinite period.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
