The United States want to see powerful and prosperous Armenia, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary on Europe and Eurasia George Kent said, speaking to the Voice of America.
“We want to see Armenia as successful country, prospering, democratic and secure,” he noted.
Since Armenia’s independence the United States provided over two billion USD assistance to Armenia for restoration of agricultural till demining of the war zone, implementation of educational programs.
Kent stressed that after velvet revolution the United States continues assisting Armenia in development of alternative and clean electricity, implement programs of prior significance, democratic reforms..
George Kent said that the peaceful change of power in spring 2018 opened new doors of development for Armenia and the USA is always interested in helping Armenia in this issue.
“A year after the revolution Armenia has a serious opportunity to become a successful country and we want to see Armenia as successful country, it stems from our interests,” Kent stressed.
