Football club Zenit in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg is looking closely at the captain of Armenia’s national team Henrik Mkhitrayan, who is a midfielder of London Arsenal, the president of the football club Alexander Medvedev said on the sidelines of the second meeting of the Lazarev Club in Moscow.
Alexander Medvedev, a former deputy chairman of Gazprom management board, said players of this level are always in the limelight of Zenit.
He said it is clear that Mkhitaryan, who moved from Manchester United to Arsenal, has a valid contract and is now at the peak of his shape. According to him, Mkhitaryan, who is 30 years old now he can play effectively up to 35.
Medvedev said Zenit is interested in players who can fill vacancies that arise from time to time. “Mkhitaryan is a very interesting player. I think it would be very easy for him to adapt to Zenit,” Medvedev said, but added that no negotiations on bringing Mkhitaryan to Zenit were underway–0–
