Armenian MoD Spokesman reacts to Aliyev’s statement
Yerevan /Mediamax/. Spokesperson for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan is surprised by the recent statement by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
At the request of Mediamax, Mr. Hovhannisyan has commented on Ilham Aliyev’s statement that Azerbaijan has “liberated” an area of around 10,000 square kilometers from the Armenian side in Nakhijevan.
“I am surprised to hear that a commander-in-chief in unaware his soldiers are “liberating” territories from themselves. How can they liberate that area from Armenian forces if the latter never had direct control over it? Although it is for now that the Armenian forces have no control over the territory. They don’t control it yet…” said Artsrun Hovhannisyan.
