Georgian railroad to apply discount system for wheat imported to Armenia

According to a preliminary agreement, the Georgian railroad will apply a discount system for wheat imported to Armenia.

By decision of the Georgian government, from September 15, Armenia will be prohibited to import wheat and some grain crops on a land route. Transportation should be carried out by water, then by rail. This decision is aimed at all countries involved in this kind of transportation through Georgia.

Negotiations between leaders of the South Caucasian and Georgian Railways are in progress in order to prevent the increase of the tariffs for transportation of these crops to Armenia.

According to preliminary agreement, Georgian Railways will apply a discount system for our passengers, as a result of which the cost of transportation will not increase.
