Two things matter the most for me in football: the quality of the play and the motivation. I really wanted to see that in the players, and to some extent I did.
The Nations League kicks off in September. We’ll have eight games, and they will be eight small finals. We will try to win them all, because even a draw would be a big problem for us.
We will have a main scheme and an alternative one in the Nations League. There won’t be friendlies before the tournament and we will have a training camp with available players.
Roman Berezovsky has done an excellent job. I could see the excitement of the goalkeepers who worked with him. Berezovsky is able to manage any team. He has vast experience and knows all the details of the game.
As for me, I would not take this position if I didn’t have the enthusiasm. A lot has changed. I think we need to leave the memories behind and focus on the present. I want to focus on what I’m doing now and on my expectations.
