Hovhannes Sahakyan submitted an application for dismissal

Hovhannes Sahakyan, the head of the State Social Security Service, submitted an application for dismissal.

Sahakyan’s statement specifically states: 

“During these 9 months, I was entrusted to occupy the position of the head of the state service of social security of the Armenian Autonomous Republic of Armenia, which I treated with great responsibility.

From the very first day of work, I presented my principles and approaches to the employees of the 51 regional departments and the central apparatus of the Service: the provision of dignified, high-quality and conscientious services to our grandparents. 

My team and I have aimed to raise the role and name of the social worker in our society and solve a number of fundamental issues for our country. 

Together with the team, we made the launch of 4 main programs a reality:
1. Ensuring the availability of services to citizens: the first and second, and henceforth also the third and next child 
• to assign a one-time birth allowance, 
• assign care allowance,
• to restore the right to receive care allowance,
• to resume payment of care allowance,
• as well as online applications for funeral allowances.

2. Accounting of workbooks and works to include the information in the workbooks into the database of the state pension system.

3. Subsystem for improving the procedures for recording information about the employer and calculating the length of service.

4. Updating the database of the state pension system (“Electronic pension information system”) in order to implement the functions of ensuring the payments of the military structures through the database of the state pension system.

Returning from Artsakh and summarizing the final results of the introduction of the “Electronic Pension” information system as a result of joint interaction, I decided to submit a dismissal application. 

Being an extremely responsible person, I made this decision at this very moment, being sure that the process of payment of pensions for the month of June will not be delayed even one day.

I want to thank the staff of the State Social Security Service, from the junior specialist to the head of the department, from the application receiver to the head of the regional department and all those with whom I had the opportunity to work every day.

I thank you for your willingness to work together and as a team. Thanks to you, we recorded tangible results in this short period of time, and I wish the new team efficient work and new achievements.”
