A final concert will be held today at St. Petersburg State Academic Capella as part of the Days of Armenian Culture in Russia.

The concert titled "Komitas and jazz: harmony fusion” will be performed by Hover State Chamber Choir and Vahagn Hayrapetyan Jazz Quintet, the Ministry of Culture reported.

According to the source, the screenings of Armenian films shot in the independence period (Thank you, Father”, “If Everyone”, “Moskvich, my Love”) are planned to continue in Russian cinemas on 24 November.

The official opening of the Days of Armenian Culture in Russia was held at the Moscow State Tretyakov Gallery on 15 November, in attendance of the Armenian and Russian presidents.

The events marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian-Russian diplomatic relations, have brought together some 250 professional artists and cultural figures from Armenia.

Emil Lazarian

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
