The deputy of the Turkish parliament from the Kurdish opposition People's Democratic Party Karo Palyan sharply criticized the decision of the Turkish government to build a public toilet in the place of the Armenian cemetery in Van. On the official website of the People's Democratic Party he wrote: "The 100-year robbery continues, even the graves of the Turks are not left alone." He also recalled the permanent looting and destruction of the Armenian cultural and historical heritage in Turkey.
