Yesterday, Turkish nationalists violently attacked the participants of a peaceful demonstration organized in front of the White House in Washington.

According to a video posted on the Facebook page of the Hay Dat Committee of the USA, a group of Turks carrying the Turkish flag attacked representatives of Armenian, Kurdish, Greek and Assyrian communities and organizations protesting against the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and severely beat some of the protesters. Several injured were taken to the hospital.

Aram Hambaryan, executive director of the US Armenian Dat Committee, filmed a part of the attack and posted it on the Facebook page of the committee. Aram Hambaryan noted that a similar nationalistic attack in the US capital was unexpected, although such incidents are common in Turkey and other dictatorial countries. He drew attention to the fact that Erdogan is, in fact, trying to transfer the intolerance characteristic of his country to the United States.
