The sitting of the Eurasian Intergovenmental Council will be held in Moscow next week. The Prime Ministers of Armenia and Russia Hovik Abrahamyan and Dmitry Medvedev discussed the  change of the venue in a phone conversation today, Russian Government’s Press Service reports.

The meeting was initially planned to be held in Yerevan, Armenia.

Dmitry Medvedev confirmed he would visit Armenia on April 7-8 as planned.

The Russian Prime Minister expressed serious concern over the recent outbreak of hostilities along the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact.

He stressed the need to ensure the strict implementation of the ceasefire regime as well as the importance of resumption of the process of political settlement.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
