CYPRUS MAKES THE DENIAL OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE A CRIMINAL OFFENCE

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide,
the Cyprus House of Representatives have made a historic decision
this morning, by unanimously passing a Law making the denial of the
Armenian Genocide a criminal offence, reports the Office of Vartkes
Mahdessian, Representative of the Armenian Community in the Cyprus
House of Representatives.

In 1975 the Cyprus House of Representatives became the first European
Parliament and the second in the world, to recognize the Armenian
Genocide.
