Monuments for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian
Genocide are coming to their completion
Antelias – 17 March 2015. The Catholicosate is completing its projects
related to the commemoration of the 100th anniversary; the projects
comprise publications, cultural and religious activities, and legal
actions. One of the major activities is taking in place in Bikfaya,
where the courtyard around the Renaissance statute has been expanded and
a new altar dedicated to the Martyrs has been built. In Byblos a new
museum will be dedicated to the orphans of the Genocide and in Antelias
the Holy Martyrs Chapel and other buildings are being renovated.
During the past two days, His Holiness Aram I has visited the monuments
and met with the personnel.
