Monument to Komitas to be erected in St. Petersburg

In July, the representative office of the Yerevan Municipality in St.
Petersburg will unveil a monument to Komitas near the Armenian
cemetery on Vasilevsky Island.
The monument will be three meters long, carved from the Dymovsky granite.

Komitas or Soghomon Soghomonian was a famous Armenian composer and
priest, he was the founder of the Armenian national school of music.
