NA DEPUTY SPEAKER PRAISES CZECH REPUBLIC’S BALANCED POSITION ON NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT

YEREVAN, 9 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. On March 9, the delegation led by
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia
Eduard Sharmazanov who is on an official visit to the Czech Republic
had a meeting with Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies of the
Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Bartošek.
As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly expressed certainty that the
visit of the Armenian parliamentarians would give more impetus to
further strengthening and development of Armenian-Czech relations,
particularly the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Touching upon the Karabakh issue, the Deputy Speaker of the National
Assembly mentioned that Armenia supports an exclusively peaceful
regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and considered Azerbaijan’s
attempts for a military solution to the issue inadmissible. The Deputy
Speaker of the National Assembly praised the balanced position of the
official Prague to the conflict. In his turn, the Vice-President of the
Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic emphasized
that he supported the peaceful regulation of the Karabakh issue.
