Yerevan claims Azeri army attacks civilian vehicle on Armenian territory
YEREVAN. Jan 29
The Azeri Armed Forces attempted another subversive operation in the
early hours of Thursday, a source in the Armenian Defense Ministry
told Interfax.
A civilian vehicle came under fire on the Voskepar-Kirants route in
the northeastern Tavush region of Armenia. One of the three persons
aboard was hurt, he said.
In addition, Azeri soldiers opened large-caliber machine gun fire in
various sectors of the Armenian-Azeri border, the source noted.
“Countermeasures of the Armenian side forced the Azeri group
conducting the reconnaissance and sabotage mission to retreat to the
original positions,” he said.
