OPPOSITION MP NIKOL PASHINYAN URGES ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT TO DEFINE CONCEPT OF POLITICAL PRISONER

Opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan suggested on Monday organizing
parliamentary hearings in order to define the concept of political
prisoner.

He said that there are 13 political prisoners in Armenia, including
the leader of Tseghakron movement Shant Harutyunyan, his under-age son
Shahen Harutyunyan and hero of Nagorno- Karabakh war Volodya Avetisyan,
who were recently sentenced to 6, 4 and 6 years in jail.

To note, all of them are in opposition to the ruling regime.
