Mathieu stepped up from the back and clipped a great diagonal pass in
behind the defence for Gignac. He drilled the ball into the centre
where Loic Remy was waiting to sweep it into the back of the net on
the 7th minute.
On the 55th minute Andre Pierre Gignac sent keeper Roman Berezovsky
the wrong way, slotting his penalty into the bottom corner.
Antoine Griezmann made it 0:3 on the 83rd minute.
The teams played a total of three times before today’s matvh, but
the last time they met was in 1999 when France beat Armenia 3 –
2. France also won on the other two occasions that they played,
both times they won 2 – 0.
