FIGHTERS OF IS BLOW UP ARMENIAN CHURCH IN DEYR-EZ-ZORE

The Armenian church Srbots Naatakats (Saint of Great Martyrs), in
Syrian Deyr-ez-Zore, was blown up by fighters of “Islamic State”.
“We strongly condemn the bombing by terrorists… of the Armenian
church in Deyr-Ez-Zore… Such terrible barbarity concerning a
shrine again shows the cruel essence of the terrorist group called
“Islamic State”. The international community has to stop and eradicate
immediately this plague menacing civilized mankind, to block ways of
financing and assistance to this group,” Armenian foreign minister
Edward Nalbandian is quoted by Armenia Today.
It should be noted that the destroyed church was built in memory of
the tragic events of 1915, the so-called “genocide of Armenians”,
and its explosion was carried out on September 21, on the day of the
celebration of the independence of Armenia.
