Armenia Eyes Closer Cooperation With Hanoi
HANOI, July 23 (Bernama) – Armenian ambassador to Vietnam Raisa
Vardanya said her country is keen to expand multi-faceted cooperation
with Hanoi particularly in urban development, Vietnam News Agency
(VNA) reported.
Vardanya also proposed the setting up of a cooperation committee
between Armenia’s capital Yerevan and Hanoi to foster bilateral ties
during a working session with Hanoi People’s Committee chairman Nguyen
The Thao on Tuesday.
“I wish to become an honorary citizen of Hanoi, a beautiful city for
peace,” she told Thao.
Thao said Hanoi hopes to attract more Armenian investment and boost
collaboration in areas including culture, education, tourism, trade
and high technology with the country.
He agreed to Vardanya’s proposal to have a cooperation committee which
he believes would provide opportunities for both sides to strengthen
their relationship.
