ARMENIA’S JOINING CUSTOMS UNION WITHOUT NAGORNO-KARABAKH OBVIOUS – RICHARD GIRAGOSIAN

In an interview with Tert.am, Richard Giragosian, Founding Director of
the Regional Studies Center (RSC), commented on the events in Astana,
Kazakhstan, on May 29.

According to him, Kazakhstan’s position was not a surprise.

“Rather, a surprising and disappointing fact was that Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan did not respond to that statement,”
Giragosian said.

It has always been obvious that Nagorno-Karabakh will not join the
Customs Union along with Armenia.

“This once more confirms that Armenia’s position on the Eurasian
Economic Union is wrong,” Giragosian said.
