UNION CITY – Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners
announced that the City of Union City will hold a flag-raising ceremony
commemorating the anniversary of Armenia’s Independence on Friday,
May 23 at 12:00 p.m. at International Park, located on the corner of
Palisade Avenue and 38th St. In the event of rain, the ceremony will
be held in the lobby of 3700 Palisade Avenue.
The ceremony will include several invited guest speakers and the
raising of the Armenian flag. Members of several local Armenian
organizations are expected to attend the ceremony.
