KHACHATURIAN TRIO: 15 YEARS ON STAGE

On March 3, at 19:00, the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia (artistic
director and principal conductor Sergey Smbatyan) will perform jointly
with Khachaturian Trio. During the evening, a new concert program
entitled “Khachaturian Trio. 15 years on stage” will be presented,
the press service of State Youth Orchestra reports.
The audience will enjoy Triple Concerto by Ludwig van Beethoven and
the world-famous composition by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky “Swan Lake.”
It is particularly noteworthy that for the first time in its history
the Trio is going to perform with an orchestra.
Khachaturian trio was founded as trio “Arsika” in 1999. Since 2006,
the members of the Trio are three established and highly regarded
chamber musicians: Armine Grigoryan (piano), Karen Shahgaldyan
(violin), Karen Kocharyan (cello). In 2008, the Trio took name of
outstanding Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian.
