POLITICAL SCIENTIST PREDICTS ‘BETTER ORGANIZED REVOLUTION’ IN ARMENIA

16:12 * 24.02.14

Political scientist Andrias Ghukasyan addressed the latest developments
in Ukraine at a meeting with reporters on Monday.

According to him, a similar, but a better organized, revolution will
take place in Armenia as well. Ukraine’s society will approve a new
constitution and the crisis will be settled.

“The blood shed during the revolution will sober the political parties
up,” Ghukasyan said. He stressed that civil movement was in the center
of Ukraine revolution.

“It is a new process in the post-Soviet area. Armenia will be the
next, when people go out to put an end to the criminal and oligarchic
system,” he said. According to him, the groups in power in Armenia
are capable of much more dangerous steps, and revolutionary forces
must take the fact into account.

“A better organized revolution will take place in Armenia. There is
never a ready list of forces. Civil movement is formed to deal with
a particular problem,” Ghukasyan said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
