Turkey is beginning to return properties that were seized from the
Armenian community in the early period of the republic’s establishment.

Turkey has returned some non-transferable properties that were
seized in the early period of the republic’s establishment back to
the Armenian community.

Following the decision of the umbrella organization for foundations in
the country, a 42,000 meters squared land was returned to the Yedikule
Surp Pirgic Hospital Foundation in Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu district.

The Armenian community also had a building returned to them in the
Beyoglu area after filing a case to the European Human Rights Court.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
