TURKEY RETURNS PROPERTIES TO ARMENIAN COMMUNITY

Turkey is beginning to return properties that were seized from the
Armenian community in the early period of the republic’s establishment.
Turkey has returned some non-transferable properties that were
seized in the early period of the republic’s establishment back to
the Armenian community.
Following the decision of the umbrella organization for foundations in
the country, a 42,000 meters squared land was returned to the Yedikule
Surp Pirgic Hospital Foundation in Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu district.
The Armenian community also had a building returned to them in the
Beyoglu area after filing a case to the European Human Rights Court.
