Armenia will be in the limelight at the winter session of PACE, which
will start on Jan. 27th, the Armenian site Epress.am says quoting
“Haykakan jamanak” newspaper.

During the speech of Armenian President Serj Sargsyan at PACE on Oct.

2, a member of the Armenian delegation Zaruhi Postanjyan asked the
president about the 70 million dollars he had lost at a casino. After
this remark, speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abraamian
changed the order of the PACE delegation removing Postanjyan.

However, Postanjyan will go to Strasbourg, because “the National
Party of Europe” has sent her an invitation. Zaruhi Postanjyan has
implied that PACE may appeal the legitimacy of the Armenian delegation.

“According to our information, Zaruhi Postanjyan could come to an
agreement with ten deputies of PACE, who agreed to raise the issue
of the legitimacy of the Armenian delegation at the beginning of
the session. A tough discussion is expected”, the author of the
article says.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
