GOVERNMENT TO DISCOUNT TUITION FEE OF 10,000 STUDENTS

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, ARMENPRESS: Due to the social package developed
by the Government of Armenia, about 10,000 students of the Republic
will get discounts of different degrees for their tuition fees.
Armenpress reports that the Minister of Education and Science of the
Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan stated about it at the Government’s
session, responding to the question of the Prime Minister of the
Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan. “The package will define the
upper threshold of the tuition fees. Discounts of up to 100% will be
provided to the socially needy students and the students having good
progress”, – stated Armen Ashotyan.
By the way, the Government has allocated 70 million drams to the
Armenia’s Youth Fund to compensate the tuition fees of the students.
As Armen Ashotyan noted, 60 million of the abovementioned money will
be directed to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia and 10 million –
to the Syrian Armenians.
