CIS STATISTICAL COMMITTEE: PASSENGER TRAFFIC IN ARMENIA DWINDLES BY 1.2% IN JAN-AUG 2013 TO 134.6 MILLION PEOPLE
YEREVAN, October 8. /ARKA/. Passenger traffic in Armenia contacted by
1.2% in Jan-Aug 2013, compared with the same period a year before, to
134.6 million people, while CIS member countries’ aggregate passenger
traffic grew 0.5% to 23993.6 million, the Statistical Committee of
the Commonwealth of Independent States reports.
Tajikistan accounted for the largest in the Commonwealth passenger
traffic in Jan-Aug 2013, which made up 11.3% of the CIS countries’
aggregate traffic.
Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan had 8.1% share each. Turkmenistan’s share
was 4.5%, Uzbekistan’s 4% and Kyrgyzstan’s 2.9%.
According to the statistical report, Russia had its passenger traffic
reduced by 7.6%, Ukraine by 2.3%, Belarus by 2% and Moldova by 0.2%.
