ARMENIAN, FINISH DIPLOMATS HOLD POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted on Thursday joint political
consultations between Armenian and Finnish diplomats.

>From the Armenian side, the meeting was conducted by Armen Liloyan,
the head of the European Department. Finland’s delegation was headed
by Terry Hakala, the chief of the Finnish Foreign Ministry’s Department
for Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The sides first addressed the agenda of bilateral relations. The
mutually stressed the importance of the Armenian-Finnish political
dialogue, the development of inter-parliamentary ties and future
efforts towards enhancing trade-economic relations, reports the
Foreign Ministry’s press office.

The participants further considered possibilities of cooperation
potentials within international organizations and initiatives, and
exchanged thoughts over the Armenia-EU cooperation potentials.

Urgent issues on the international agenda were also discussed at
the meeting. Later in the day, a deputy foreign minister of Armenia,
Zohrab Mnatsakyan, received the Finnish guests.
