ECONOMIC ACTIVITY IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY-JUNE INCREASED BY 4.4%

YEREVAN, July 19. / ARKA /. Armenia’s economic activity index in
January-June increased by 4.4% compared to the same period in 2012,
according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

According to the official data, the rise in consumer prices in
January-June compared to the same period last year was 4.1%, while
prices of industrial goods increased by 4.8%.

The industrial output amounted to 567.4 billion drams, an 8.3 percent
increase from the year before. The foreign trade in January-June 2013
amounted to $2.671.2 billion, an increase of 0.8 percent year-on-year.

Armenia’s GDP growth for 2013 is projected at 6.2%. ($ 1 -410.64
