AZERBAIJANI FOREIGN MINISTRY: TURKEY MUST BE MORE ACTIVE IN TANAP PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

The issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as
the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have been discussed
between Azerbaijani and Turkish Foreign Ministers Elmar Mammadyarov
and Ahmet Davutoglu during the talks in Baku today, Azerbaijani
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told media after the talks today.

“We constantly contact with my Turkish counterpart,” Mammadyarov added.

According to him, he informed his Turkish counterpart about the Vienna
meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen.

As for the issues of economic cooperation, Mammadyarov stressed that
Turkey must be more active in the implementation of the Trans-Anatolian
gas pipeline project (TANAP).

The minister also said that Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia have
agreed to accelerate the process of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway
construction.

Turkish Foreign Minister paid a one-day visit to Baku.
