60 MILLION TO BE INVESTED IN ARMENIA’S STATE BORDER STRENGTHENING STRATEGY

YEREVAN, JULY 16, ARMENPRESS: ~@60 million was allocated for the
implementation of the programs on the border security and the state
border management strategy of the Republic of Armenia, a part of which
is grant, another part is privileged loan and the other part is a
budget allocation. This was stated by the Secretary of the National
Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Arthur Baghdasaryan at
the briefing with the journalists, emphasizing that the program will
considerably contribute to that the citizen will be able to pass
the border in 15 minutes. “A large-scale modernization of the state
border of Armenia will be carried out. Corresponding new structures,
meeting the international standards, will be built and technical
re-equipment will be carried out”, – said Arthur Baghdasaryan, as
reported by Armenpress.
As was noted by the Secretary of the National Security Council of the
Republic of Armenia, “In July the construction works will be launched
under the control of the French and Belgian organizations”.
Arthur Baghdasaryan noted that the building works will be completed
in two-three years.
In the framework of the program on the border security and the state
border management strategy of the Republic of Armenia, Bagratashen,
Bavra and Gogavan checkpoints will be modernized.
