Spokesperson of the Control Chamber of Armenia Anna Vardanyan told
ArmInfo the reports on Ishkhan Zakaryan’s resignation do not
correspondent to reality.
“We officially refute the given information. Zakaryan continues
fulfilling his responsibilities,” she said.
To recall, CC Head Ishkhan Zakaryan in his annual report declared that
70 percent of the state budget is risked due to large-scale
mbezzlements, which greatly resonated with the public. The president
has convened a discussion lately and slammed Zakaryan for making
assessments without facts. He charged the prosecutor general to
inquire into the data of the CC’s report within 2-3 days. He also
criticized the behavior of the parliament majority in the course of
the report’s introduction in the parliament hinting at the parliament
leadership’s criticism at the government.
