FRANCE DIOCESE LEADER OF ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH RESIGNS

YEREVAN, JULY 3, ARMENPRESS: Leader of France diocese of Armenian
Apostolic Church Norvan Archbishop Zakaryan has submitted resignation
application to Surpreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians
Karekin II. “Armenpress” reports calling Noyvelles d`Armenie that
the application of Norvan Archbishop Zakaryan has been transferred
to Holy Etchmiadzin on July 1.

The mandate of Norvan Archbishop Zakaryan as leader of French diocese
would expire in 2014.

One of the members of parish council of Armenian Apostolic Church in
Paris refused to comment the resignation of Norvan Archbishop Zakaryan
and make judgments about the reasons.

Norvan Archbishop Zakaryan became the leader of France diocese in 2007.
