TOTAL OF 1,565.6 TONS OF CANNED FOOD PRODUCED IN ARMENIA IN JANUARY- MAY
YEREVAN, July 2./ARKA/. Canned food output totaled 1,565.6 tons in
Armenia in January-May 2013, an 13.5% increase from the year before,
the country’s National Statistical Service reported.
Canned meat production output totaled 366.5 tons compared to 246.3
tons in the same period of 2012 (48.8% increase).
A total of 317.4 tons of canned vegetables was produced in the
reporting period, compared to 281.3 tons in January-May 2012 (12.8%
increase), according to the statistics.
Canned tomatoes production was only 440.1 tons in the reported period,
a 17.6% reduction from the year before.
A total of 398.1 tons of canned fruits was manufactured in the period,
which is a 25.1% increase over the level of the year before.
In the period some 87.7 tons of ketchup was produced (8.8% higher
from 2012). Natural juice production totalled 5,637,400 litres
against 5,841,800 litres in 2012 (3.5% reduction). -0- – See more at:
