Borussia Dortmund has bid 23 million euros ($32.15 million) for
Shakhtar Donestsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, according to the
Ukrainian club’s CEO.

Sergei Palkin explained that the club is willing to sell the
highly-rated Armenia star for a fee of 30 million euros ($41.94
million) but said he does not know where the player currently is.

With Mkhitaryan now all but certain to leave Shakhtar, which has won
the Ukrainian Premier League for the past four seasons, Palkin also
confirmed he had informed the midfielder’s agent of the situation.

He told Terrikon: “I don’t know where Mkhitaryan is, now; solely his
agent knows this. Borussia offered $30 million for the midfielder. I
contacted Mkhitaryan’s agent yesterday. I wrote to him about the
official position of the club.

“We are prepared to sell Mkhitaryan for ~@30m; this offer stands for
the next 10 days. If Mkhitaryan wishes to leave, they have to pay
this amount for him.”

Liverpool has been linked with a move for the player but Palkin
confirmed recently that the English club ‘have not made an enquiry’
for Mkhitaryan’s services as far as he knew.

Mkhitaryan notched a Ukrainian Premier League record 25 goals in 28
appearances last season.
