ARMENIAN PRESIDENTIAL RESIDENCE SPENDS ABOUT $2,500 EACH MONTH ON BRANDY – NEWSPAPER

YEREVAN. – The Armenian presidential residence spends about $2,500
each month on buying brandy. At the same time, this amount is paid
from the state budget; that is, from the pockets of the citizens,
Zhoghovurd daily reports.
“Zhoghovurd ascertained documents, according to which the presidential
[residence] acquired forty [bottles] of brandy in June; this month
the presidential [residence] purchased around 28 liters of brandy. The
presidential [residence] had bought almost as much brandy in May, too.
“It is incomprehensible as to how at least 25-30 liters of brandy is
consumed per month. Even if we consider the fact that the presidential
[residence] purchases brandy to entertain official delegations,
we can assume how these meetings end,” Zhoghovurd writes.
