ARMENIA POSTS 13% EXPORT VOLUME DECREASE

PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $444 mln
(AMD 187,2 bln) in May 2013 decreasing by 9% compared to the same
period in 2012, according to updated statistical data.

Export amounted to $106,3 mln (AMD 44 bln) in May 2013, decreasing
by 13,1% against 2012 results. The export index totaled $561 mln
(AMD 231,1 bln) in Jan-May 2013, with 9.2% growth reported.

A 7,6% decrease was recorded in import bringing it to $337,7 mln
(AMD 143 bln,) the RA National Statistical Service reported.

The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $1 070.3
mln (AMD 443,2 bln) in January-May 2013 compared with the same period
in 2012.
