ARMENIAN BUSINESSMAN INVOLVED IN OFFSHORE SCANDAL IS WANTED

YEREVAN. – Armenian police on Monday decided to involve businessman
Ashot Sukiasyan as an accused in a criminal case instituted back
in 2012.
“Since we have no information about his whereabouts, he has been
declared wanted. Arrest was selected as a preventive measure,” head
of police press service told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Ashot Sukiasyan is charged with a large-scale fraud, large-scale
damage and money laundering.
According to the publication of hetq.am website, the businessman is
the owner of Cyprus-registered offshore company WLISPERA HOLDINGS
LIMITED. Others co-owners are Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the head
of the Ararat Diocese, Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan. This company has
a direct relation to the bankruptcy of businessman Pailak Hayrapetyan.
