Women quickly master modern military equipment – Karabakh War veteran

YEREVAN. – Armenia lags significantly behind many other countries in
terms of the number of women in the army.
Nagorno-Karabakh War veteran, Major General Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan,
noted the aforesaid during a press conference on Saturday.
In his words, the number of women presently serving in the Armenian
Armed Forces is a mere 1.5-2 percent, against the 10 percent in most
other countries.
`Military service plays a positive role in a girl’s development.
Modern military equipment gradually develops in Armenia and women
master this equipment magnificently,’ Ter-Tadevosyan noted.
He stressed that there were numerous women among the defenders of the
country during the Karabakh War.
Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan also highlighted that the preparation of a
`brain center’ will make women’s involvement in the army development
become more effective.
