VILLAGERS BLOCK ROAD TO PROTEST MILK PRICE REDUCTION

Residents of rural communities in Shirak province today blocked the
road leading to Dzorakap village in protest against the decline in
milk procurement prices.
Milk prices in Shirak continue declining rapidly, with procurers
offering AMD 140 [for 1 liter] instead of former AMD 150.
Residents of Dzorakert, Tsaghkut, garnarich, Berdashen, Shaghik and
Artenis villages call the authorities’ attention to their demands
and call for a fair decision, Gyumri-based Tsayg TV reports.
Prices for dairy products in Armenia have gone up in recent months.
